Katie Babcock, LCPC, NCC, is a mental health professional with diverse experience throughout multiple industries and capacities. Katie serves as the Program Director at Complete Wellness while continuing her clinical practice seeing individuals, couples, and families.

Katie began her work in mental health with the Sheppard Pratt Health System. While at Sheppard Pratt, Katie worked at the Forbush School with middle and high school students struggling with emotional and behavioral difficulties. While attending Pacifica Graduate Institute, Katie was the head residential counselor at Casa Serena, a women’s treatment facility in Santa Barbara, California. Through this position, Katie gained comprehensive training in the treatment of alcohol and drugs with a specific focus on serving women during recovery. In addition to extensive experience working in Mental Health and Substance Abuse treatment, Katie identifies as a Cannabis Positive Therapist supporting the education, safety, and use of cannabis medicine.  

Katie’s theoretical foundations include depth psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic theory, and family systems theory. From these foundations, Katie incorporates dream work, image, soul, play therapy, and sand tray modalities. While working with clients, Katie strives to create a safe, authentic space to explore conflicts within relationships and interpersonally. While individuals may have experiences of very difficult life circumstances and trauma, she believes in education, empathy, and empowerment as a portal to change.

Katie holds a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, California. She serves as a member of the American Psychological Association, Americans for Safe Access, Maryland NORML, and the National Alliance on Mental Health.
