Gideon Oberio, CRNP-PMH

Gideon Oberio is a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides personalized medication management for patients ages six and up. With a warm, understanding approach, he creates a welcoming environment where individuals feel heard, supported, and empowered to take charge of their mental health. He specializes in, but is not limited to, trauma, depression, anxiety, and ADHD—helping patients of all ages navigate life’s challenges and work toward lasting emotional well-being. His goal is to ensure that every patient receives the highest quality of care in a safe, respectful, and collaborative setting.

In addition to his specialties, Gideon has extensive experience supporting individuals facing substance abuse challenges, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. He approaches each case with empathy and evidence-based strategies, helping patients and their families find hope, stability, and meaningful progress in their recovery journeys. Gideon’s mission is to provide holistic, patient-centered care that promotes healing, growth, and lifelong wellness.

​​​Gideon offers a minimalistic approach to medication management to help improve people's quality of life. His goal is to be respectful of both your mind and body while caring for psychiatric disorders. He has experience working in multiple areas, including acute inpatient psychiatric units, emergency rooms, and outpatient medication management. He specializes in, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and mood disorders. He also loves to serve the community, as he previously was a volunteer firefighter for Baltimore County. Gideon previously earned his bachelor's degree in the science of nursing at Frostburg State University and went on to get his master's in nursing at Walden University.

Deeply committed to serving others, Gideon brings a strong sense of community to his practice. Having spent 10 years as a volunteer firefighter in Baltimore County, he understands the importance of compassion, teamwork, and resilience in times of crisis. This experience has strengthened his ability to remain calm under pressure and connect with people from all walks of life—qualities that now shape his approach to mental health care.
