Alyssa Meister, LGPC, NCC
Alyssa Meister, LGPC, earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University and is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor. She brings a strong background in case management and crisis stabilization, experiences that have deepened her understanding of the diverse challenges clients face. Alyssa provides individual counseling for adults and adolescents, supporting clients who are navigating trauma, adjustment difficulties, depression, anxiety, and other life challenges. She has experience working with a wide range of diagnoses and client concerns, and completed her clinical internship at Complete Wellness, where she is now continuing her work as a counselor. Alyssa believes that every individual’s story is unique, and therefore, therapy should be tailored to each person’s needs.

Guided by a person-centered and trauma-informed approach, Alyssa integrates evidence-based modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to best support her clients in their healing journey.
Her philosophy of counseling is holistic and collaborative. Alyssa is passionate about creating a safe and compassionate space where clients feel truly heard, valued, and empowered to grow. She is also committed to advocacy, including reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and promoting systemic change to make care more accessible for all.
