​Joshua Kleiner, LCPC, NCC, PMH-C, places his clinical priority as a therapist on helping people live a more healthy, meaningful, and productive life. Joshua comes to Complete Wellness with a speciality in helping individuals and couples adjust to a range of life transitions, especially perinatal mental health related to pregnancy, postpartum, infertility and grief.

Whether you are looking for a brief mental hygiene checkup or want help navigating the seas of change, he can help you to align your strengths, needs, and values with your daily pursuits and long-term goals.

Joshua earned a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University, and received his behavioral medicine training at Johns Hopkins Hospital’s Adult Inpatient Psychiatry Unit and the Broadway Center for Addiction. Joshua has also provided psychotherapy services at Sheppard Pratt’s outpatient mental health clinics. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he was a frontline mental health provider for adolescent patients and their families at Sheppard Pratt Hospital’s School and Residential Treatment Program.


As a perinatal specialist and researcher, he received advanced psychotherapy training from Postpartum Support International and reproductive psychiatry training at the Johns Hopkins Women’s Mood Disorders Center. His professional focus is on postpartum depression and anxiety, maternal identity formation, and the effects of maternal chronic stress on the developing fetus and mother-child bonding.
