Douglas Frew, PsyD

Dr. Doug Frew has a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from William James College, an M.S. degree in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University Maryland, and a B.S. degree in Psychology from University of Mary Washington.

 

Doug Frew, Pys.D., a Licensed Psychologist in Maryland, has focused training in neurocognitive, psychoeducational, and psychodiagnostic assessment with children, adolescents, and adults. He is passionate about the work he does and is committed to providing comprehensive therapeutic assessment services to meet the needs of those for whom he assesses. It is his goal to provide a comprehensive report, based on the assessment findings, that accurately captures the individual’s unique profile while providing clarity and direction moving forward.

 

In addition to his passion for psychological assessment, Dr. Frew has a developing interest in working with parents who may be struggling with challenging parenting issues, particularly those associated with having children with ADHD and/or Learning Disorders. He has experience providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults, in a multitude of settings (e.g., schools, inpatient hospitals, homes, residential treatment centers, and respite centers) to address a variety of issues (e.g., major mental illness, trauma, ADHD, behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, learning disabilities, and adjustment to life events). Dr. Frew is a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist who uses a phase oriented systemic approach in which relational, attachment, motivational interviewing, and CBT techniques are used throughout the interwoven stages of exploration, insight, and action.
